On the same street as the Antico Borgo B&B, and right in the middle of the charming old town, Casa Travi is a house with its roots from the 17th century. After renovation in 2007 the house still keep its traditional Italian charm with white walls and wooden beams visible in the ceilings. Visible parts of the house’s stone walls act as natural décor, and the kitchen has a vaulted ceiling with lovely details! Inside the front door you are greeted by a small ledge with space for coats, and then you will take the stairs up to a spacious living room.
The living room consists of a lounge area and a dining area, and from here a vault leads the way to the kitchen and a staircase will take you to the second floors. From the kitchen there is a door to the secluded terrace. The terrace is a spacious area of 25 sq m. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
- (10 min. drive from the small town of Caramanico Terme) At 810m
altitude, this little mountain village is in a superb position, with
stunning south-facing views over the gorge to Monte Amaro (2793m), Monte
Morrone (2061m) and the lush Orta valley in between. The village has
only been connected to the outside world since the 1970s; until then it
had no electricity, and no road. Now the 80 or so inhabitants still work
the land and vegetable gardens, graze their flocks and gather their
winter fuel from the high mountain woodlands.
